Part of the Gossip Cowgirls series, The One Who Never Tells the Whole Story is an original mixed-media painting built in layers of muted sage, dusty peach, olive and blue. Scraped paint, loose marks and fragments of earlier layers remain visible throughout, giving her oversized hat and clothing the wonderfully imperfect texture of something collected over time.

Faceless but hardly without personality, each Gossip Cowgirl is less a portrait than a character. This one is the keeper of details, the selective storyteller, and quite possibly the woman who knows exactly what happened.
