Gossip Cowgirls
The cowgirls didn’t show up politely. They rode in a little dusty, a little defiant, and completely sure of themselves.
This collection is my take on the modern West, where strength isn’t loud but it’s unmistakable. They’re rooted in tradition but not stuck in it, equal parts grit and grace, a nod to the women who hold their ground and make their own rules.
I wanted these cowgirls to feel iconic but personal. A little wild, a little refined. The kind of presence that shifts a room without trying too hard.
They’re not just portraits. They’re energy.
Carrie is a graduate of the University of Texas with a bachelor of science in fashion. For nearly a decade, she spent her professional career designing for and working with some of the most iconic brands in the world. Working in jewelry and textiles, she was able to create and explore with rich materials and color.
She continues to seek new creative challenges and has returned to her first love, painting. Her pieces are primarily abstract expressionist paintings utilizing acrylics and mixed media but enjoys exploring other mediums and applications in her practice.
