An original mixed-media work on paper inspired by Dale Evans, the legendary “Queen of the West.” Known for her strength, style and independent spirit, Dale felt like a natural addition to this evolving collection of Western icons.

Loose, layered marks capture her through gesture and silhouette rather than traditional portraiture, while vintage textile from Mended adds pattern, history and texture to the piece.
